I purchased this mattress and was skeptical it would not fit snug with our crib (Graco Lauren Convertible), because of the reviews I read. However, when we put the mattress into the crib, it fitted very snug without ant gaps. I'm wondering if certain mattresses are smaller than others, or if it could be the actual cribs.

My daughter purchased this Mattress for my grandson's bed, Davici Kalani. The mattress is stated to be the dimensions required for this bed, 27 1/4 X 51 5/8 X4 however there is about a three inch gap between the bed rails and the mattress. My daughter tried to return the it and purchase another however without the reciept Target would not take this unsafe purchase back. Because she did not have the money to replace it she rolled a blanket into the crack to keep the baby from falling in. I have tried to get Target to take back the mattress and give her a credit towards a new one however they still have not done so. They will once it is recalled! I hope not after a child sufficates. I have reseached the matress and there are several bad reviews on other sites. If you have purchased this mattress please be sure there is no gap. Please do not purchase this mattress!!!

Please make sure to measure the mattress you purchase. My sister purchased this mattress 2 years ago at Target and thank goodnesss didn't hardly use it. It measures shorter in length and width stated on tag. She gave it to me to use for my new grandaughter. It looked too small when we put it in the crib, so I had my husband measure it. The tag states 51 5/8 x 27 1/4 but it actually measures 49 1/2 by 26 1/2. So PLEASE measure it before using.

I would just like to say that it would be appreciated if you people would stop writing negative comments that really have nothing to do with the mattress itself. Just because this particular mattress didnt fit in the CRIB YOU bought, doesnt make it unsafe or defective. If it doesnt fit your crib, simply take it back. Other than it not fitting in a crib, which is the same problem you could have with ANY mattress, it is a great mattress for a reasonable price. It fits in my daughters Graco crib just fine and is still in perfect condition. Also, dont write a bad review because Target wouldnt return it without the receipt, that is just ridiculous. YOU should have kept the receipt, and stop saying that they wouldnt return the "unsafe mattress",! Its not unsafe at all! Just didnt fit in your crib. Maybe your crib should be getting the bad review.

I am surprised by the reviews. I got on to buy another mattress just like this for our toddler bed. This mattress fit our crib exactly with no gaps and is the best quality for the price. I guess its best to always measure to be safe, maybe Kolcraft is not so great at producing every mattress at the standard size, but ours has been wonderful! I still plan on buying a second one.

I would recommend this mattress, seems softer than most of the other ones which is what I was looking for. My daughter and I co slept. I knew she wouldn't sleep on a hard mattress after sleeping on a pillow top mattress. But still not as soft as I would like. She is older now so I'm not concerned with SIDS. I think the mattress fits the crib perfectly. She has the Da Vinci Emily crib. I would always suggest that you keep your reciepts just in case. I would like if these companies would make newborn/infant mattress and toddler mattress seperatly, as toddlers don't like hard mattresses!!

We have a new baby on the way, and with one in a crib still, we needed a new mattress. I was mattress shopping, and not willing to spend $100+ on a mattress so obviously, I was attracted to this one. I'm not sure why the other reviewers have a problem, but mine fits the crib well. It actually seems too big to me, but it's a nice, tight, snug fit. I just got it in the crib today, and put a sheet on it, and I think I'm going to have to buy some new sheets, mine seem to be too small/tight on it. The only thing I could say is that the plastic/vinyl exterior could be a little more heavy duty, but for the price I can't complain too much!

I have not had any problems with this mattress at all. It is a crib mattress and fits my daughters crib just fine. I don't know if the other reviewer is using this for a toddler bed or what but it is susposed to go in a crib. I think it is a great mattress, especially for the price.
